Steve.... there is something only you can accomplish... creating a panel called the "Constitution Enforcement Committee".
We need a “people's panel” that reports to the citizens each week, in a semiofficial manner, on Washington DC's misdeeds, as seen from the constitution. A believable panel the has the respect to declare Washington in violation of the constitution, and be able to clearly explain to the public—why our forefathers forbade it in the constitution, and where it says so. A tribunal with the clout to critique the Supreme Court and Congress and President.
Part of the goal of this tribunal is exposing Americans to the constitution and teaching the citizen audience how to apply it and interpret it. As you already know, the Supreme Court often sides with Washington, and mistakenly believes it is the final and sole arbiter of what is to be interpreted as constitutional. Forcefully of course.
Steve... only you have the clout to assemble a respected team of “constitution law experts”...”public administration theory experts” and form “The People's Constitution Tribunal”. Only you have the connections and resources to publish the findings of this constitution tribunal every week in your magazines, and syndicate it in several daily newspapers. The proceedings of this panel must also be broadcast nationwide, hopefully weekly, on cable or TV. YouTube and other social media outlet streaming, would be advantageous as well.
Sort of like a good form of McCarthyism, bust just as powerful and accusatory, this panel will hold no punches. The tribunal must vilify or praise Congresspeople, vilify or praise Supreme Court decisions and the individual opinions of the justices therein, and of course the Executive's office. A certain portion of this broadcast is historical, and retrospective of important past constitutional events, people or decisions that explain the mess we find ourselves and our country in today. Another section deals with credentialed advisement on where the country should be headed to in the future, with a focus on the correct course for the President's office, and all of Washington.
This is America's last chance to unbury the constitution before it is relegated as a work of fiction or poetry of the past.. before Orwell's nightmare becomes a permanent and daily reality.
